A lot of the brightly-coloured, wafting wildflowers that look so beautiful in a meadow require full sun and a well-drained soil so these Welsh poppies are especially valuable because they bring brightly-coloured delicate flowers to shady areas with a moist soil.
This native wildflower is also popular with bees and other pollinators. Grows up to 50cm tall and 50cm across in shade and moist soils. The yellow or orange flowers are produced from June to August.
