This plant produces spikes of pink-red flowers that are particularly attractive to butterflies and other pollinators. It prefers moist soils and looks great at pond margins. The flowers are produced from June to October.
It grows to 60cm tall and 40cm across in full sun or partial shade and moist soils. It dies down completely over winter, at which time you can apply a mulch of garden compost.
