This American produces spikes of blue flowers that are particularly attractive to butterflies and other pollinators. The flowers are produced from July to September.
It grows to 1m tall and 30cm across in full sun or partial shade and moist soils. It dies down completely over winter, at which time you can apply a mulch of garden compost.
