Also known as the Dalmation Bellflower, this South European wildflower is popular with beneficial insects, bees and other pollinators. It is equally happy trailing in a container or as ground cover, but avoid areas that are particularly prone to slug or snail damage.
It forms a mound up to 15cm tall and spreads to 50cm or more in full sun or partial shade and a well-drained soil. It will scramble upwards if planted at the base of a wall, hence it's name, and it also provides good ground cover. The mauve blue flowers are produced from July to September.
