An evergreen perennial plant that forms a very appealing shrub in moist but well-drained soils in full sun or partial shade. This plant has an attractive combination of dark stems with white and green leaves. The flowers are insignificant to the human eye but attractive to nighttime pollinators.
Grows to up to 5m tall and 2m across or can be lightly pruned in early spring. It does very well in the mild Bristol climate but if we have a very cold snap (less that -5oC) then it is worth putting a mulch around the plant's base.
